Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overall functioning of the warehouse and store, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, inspecting, and storing wood products, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Monitor stock levels, conduct regular stock counts, and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.
- Implement effective inventory control measures, minimizing losses, and maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinate with production and sales teams to ensure timely delivery of products and handle any order-related issues.
- Maintain a safe and organized working environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines and company policies.
- Supervise a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems for maximum efficiency and utilization of space.
- Implement and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance overall productivity.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in warehouse/store management, preferably in the wood industry or related field.
- Strong knowledge of wood products, their handling, and storage requirements.
- Proficient in inventory management software and computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and their implementation.
- Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and work in a warehouse environment.
